Speech therapy app for kids with pronunciation exercises. The app can also be used by young people and adults.
The speech therapy app is suitable for children who are in speech therapy due to special needs in the area of articulation/pronunciation. With the app, children can playfully consolidate all sounds at word level (beginning of word, middle of word, end of word and consonant combinations) that they have developed in speech therapy.
The speech therapy learning app was produced in cooperation with the state-approved speech therapist, Beate Müller, and has already been tested by many children during speech therapy.
On the one hand, the app can be used in speech therapy for practice purposes to strengthen articulation at word level. It is also an optimal support for practicing at home, together with the parents. The app does not replace therapy, but has been designed as additional, playful support and help in speech therapy for children.
With the app, the target sounds can be practiced and consolidated in all possible positions: word beginning, middle and end as well as in the consonant combinations. Each target sound has its own lessons, each of which includes 4 speech therapy exercises or games.
1. Speech therapy exercise: repeating
Here the target words are presented with visual material and spoken. Parents should ask the children to repeat the target word as instructed by the speech therapist.
2. Speech Therapy Exercise: Recording
In this exercise, the child sees a picture and hears the target word. The children repeat the word that is recorded and reproduced. In this way, the children can hear together with the parents whether they have articulated correctly. If the word was not pronounced correctly, we recommend repeating it again after hearing the word again.
3. Speech Therapy Game: Find
This speech therapy game promotes language comprehension and the correct pronunciation of words. The child sees 6 pictures on the screen, from which it has to choose the picture that has been spoken and then repeat the word.
4. Speech therapy game: Memory
This game promotes both correct pronunciation at word level and concentration. We recommend that parents ask the children to name the revealed card before a second card is turned over.
